Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of the questions most frequently
asked by new patients. If you have a question that is
not answered here, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What do I need to bring to my first visit?
Bring your prescription to attend physical therapy from your physician to satisfy the requirements of your insurance company as well as your insurance card. If you are not sure if we participate with your insurance provider, check our insurance page or contact us for more information.
What should I wear?
Because you will probably perform some exercises, please bring comfortable, loose fitting clothing and a pair of sneakers. Also make sure the clothing you wear will allow the physical therapist to easily evaluate the area of your discomfort.
How long does a session typically last?
The initial evaluation takes approximately one hour. Depending on the results of this evaluation and your specific rehabilitation plan, subsequent sessions will last thirty minutes to an hour.
Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
Most insurances have benefits for physical therapy. Please check your member booklet or call your customer service number on your insurance card prior to starting physical therapy to find out the copay and deductible amounts that you will be required to pay.
